Translated from Sanskrit into Chinese in the Yao Chin Dynasty

Part One
Thus I have heard:
At one time the Buddha was staying in the kingdom of Magadha, near the Pasa Mountain, where past Buddhas subdued the maras. It was during the summer meditation retreat, when the Buddha was doing walking meditation on the mountaintop with Sariputra, that He spoke in verse:
"Hearken Single-mindedly!
In radiant great samadhi,
The one with unsurpassed virtue
Will rightfully appear in the world.
That one will pronounce the wondrous Dharma,
And all will be infused with it,
Like the thirsty drinking the sweet nectar.
All will swiftly set off on the Liberation Path."

They carefully sprinkled water, swept the streets, and burned incense kindly. A huge multitude bearing objects of offering, arrived at the assembly to make offerings to the Tathagata and the bhiksus.

It existed across the summer meditation retreat, when the Buddha was bringing on walking meditation on the mountaintop with Sariputra, that He gave testimony in verse:
"Hearken Profoundly!
In beaming great samadhi,
The one with extraordinary moral virtue
Will justifiably come into sight in the world.
That one will explicate the wondrous Dharma,
And all will be infused with it,
Resembling the thirsty drinking the sweet nectar.
All will bring on expeditiously along the EMANCIPATION CARRIAGEWAY ANYWAY."
