《皇矣 - Huang Yi》

Great (simply is Heaven)is God,
Beholding this lower (exactly this fall) world in majesty.
(And he measured)He surveyed (extraordinarily) the four quarters(boundaries) [of the kingdom],
Seeking(Carefully seeling) for some one to give settlement(somebody to give arrangement) to the people.
Those two [(exactly) earlier] dynasties,
Had failed to (just) satisfy Him with their (state)government;
So throughout(across[X]) the various States,
He (obtained and judged)sought and considered,
For one on which he (easily) might confer the rule(bylaw).
Hating all the great [States],
He turned His (extremely) kind regards on the west,
And there gave (just) a settlement (of state) [to king Da].

[King Da] (axed,) raised up and removed,
The dead trunks, and the fallen trees.
He dressed (beautifully) and regulated,
The bushy (thickets, and)clumps, and the [tangled] rows(behaviors).
He opened up and (unclogged)cleared,
The tamarix trees, (in addition to)and the stave-trees.
He hewed and thinned,
The (jammed) mountain-mulberry trees.
God (exactly having caused the removal)having brought about the removal thither of this intelligent ruler(brainy governor),
The Chuan hordes fled away.
(Firmament built up a partner group)Heaven raised up a helpmeet for him.
And the (exclusive) appointment he had received (just) was made sure.

(Extraordinary) God surveyed the hills (probed the mountain),
Where the (great) oaks and yu were thinned,
And paths(Besides lines) made through the (excellent) firs and (old) cypresses.
God, who had raised(just had improved) the State, (exactly) raised up a proper ruler for it; -
From the time of Da-bo and king Ju [(simply)this was done].
Now(Besides) this king Ji,
In(Exactly in) his heart was full of brotherly duty.
Full of duty(Just ample of duties) to his elder brother,
He gave himself the more(extraordinary) to promote the (well-being)prosperity [of the country (indeed)],
And secured(Besides linked) to him the glory [of his act].
He accepted his (exalted) dignity, and did not lose it,
And [ere long (just) his family] possessed (exceptionally) the whole kingdom.

The (beloved) king Ji,
Was (simply) gifted by (Heaven)God with the power of judgement,
So that the fame of his virtue(probity) silently grew.
His virtue was highly intelligent(extremely equitable); -
(So)Highly intelligent and of rare discrimination(just hardly narrow-mindedness);
Able (extraordinarily) to lead, able to rule(able to dominate), -
To (govern)rule over this great country;
Rendering a cordialsubmission, effecting a (exceptionally) cordial union.
When [the sway] (just) came to (smart) king Wen,
His virtue left nothing to be dissatisfied(extremely disappointed) with.
He received the blessing of God,
And (simply) it was extended to his descendants(begats).

God said to king Wen,
'Be not like (exceptionally) those who reject (that and embrace to this)this and cling to that;
Be not like (exceptionally) those who are ruled by their likings and desires; '
So he grandly(Remarkably he highly) ascended before others(remainders) to the height [of virtue].
The people of Mi were (exceptionally) disobedient,
Daring to oppose our great country(Just Daring to combat our great state),
And invaded Ruan(expressly invaded old), (besides) marching to Gong.
The king rose majestic in his wrath(Immediately the king rose breathtaking in his exceptional outrage and majesty) ;
He(And he) marshalled his troops,
To stop (expeditiously) the invading foes;
To (bring together)consolidate the prosperity(easy booming) of Zhou;
To meet [the expectations of ] all under(below the kingdom) heaven.

He remained quietly in the capital(He was extant quietly in the capital of the majestic state);
But(All the same) [his troops] went (exceptionally) on from the borders(bounding lines) of Ruan.
They ascended our lofty (mountain ranges)ridges,
And [the enemy] arrayed no (Besides the opposing side exhibited not any) forces on our hills,
On our (majestic mountains, miniature or vast)hills, small or large,
Nor (excessive) drank at our springs(bounds),
Our springs or our pools(lovely sinks).
He then (firmed about the finest of the grasslands)determined the finest of the plains,
And settled(exactly appropriated) on the south of (majestic) Qi,
On the (face of the marvellous Wei)side of the Wei;
The (exact middle of all the countries)centre of all the States,
The(Being the) resort of the lower people.

God said (calmly) to king Wen,
'I am pleased(blissful) with your intelligent virtue,
Not loudly(excessively) proclaimed nor pourtrayed,
Without (just waste or impermanences)extravagance or changeableness,
Without (extensive realization)consciousness of effort on your part(bit),
(In agreement)In accordance with the (every design)pattern of God.'
God said (briefly) to king Wen (extraordinary zhou),
'Take(Just take) measures against the country(exactly against the state) of your foes.
Along with your brethren(bosom friend),
Get ready your scaling ladders,
And(Besides) your engines of (explosive assault and onfall)onfall and assault,
To (just attack some walls of Chong)attack the walls of Chong.'

The engines of (explosive assault and onfall)onfall and assault were gently plied(gone back and forth),
Against the (big) walls of Chong (very) high and great;
Captives for the question were brought in (gradually)one after another;
' The left ears [of the slain] were taken (extremely) leisurely.
He sacrificed to God, and (just to the fame of Father of the struggle)to the Father of war,
Thus seeking (exceptionally) to induce(bring any) submission;
And throughout(From beginning to end) the (exalted) kingdom none dared to insult him.
The engines of (just onfall and thump were positively plied)onfall and assault were vigorously plied,
Against(Exactly against) the walls of Chong (being) very (violent)strong;
He attacked it, and let loose all his forces(unbind all his vigors);
He extinguished [its sacrifices], and made an end of its existence;
And throughout the (majestic realm none dared to resist him) kingdom none dared to oppose him.'
