每每忆起北台湾的淡水，心总是有淡淡的忧伤，也有淡淡的甜蜜。
淡水是感性而浪漫的，一直在心深处。
:cry: 淡水镇位于东经121.16度，北纬25.10度，居台北县西北端，北至屯山里之大片头埔与三芝乡分界、南以竹围里之关渡埔顶与台北市北投区相接、南方隔淡水河与八里相望，西北临台湾海峡、距福州140
哩。山林蓊郁，水满澄清，有「东方那波里」之称的淡水镇，为在淡水河下游河口的北段，西临台湾海峡，全域为大屯火山汇的西南斜面、平原分布于淡水河沿岸、海岸地带及火山锥体散流坑谷中。
1860年的开港通商，改变了淡水的命运。十七世纪初期，汉人的足迹开始踏上淡水，而在此时，欧洲的海权国家—西班牙，也来 到淡水，开始其殖民淡水的岁月。西班牙人在淡水十二年后，被荷兰人打败，荷兰人便占领淡水。直到1661年，郑成功登陆鹿耳门， 击败荷兰人，淡水的主人更易为汉人。1860年北京条约规定淡水正式开港，开启淡水最辉煌耀眼的时期，直到1895年马关条约割让台湾给日本，淡水的风华便走下坡。
这样富传奇性的历史背景，塑造淡水全台独特的异国情调、国际色彩。富有欧式风格的红毛城、偕医馆、长老教会教堂，日本风 格的日式建筑，汉人的聚落特色─街道和寺庙，成就了淡水迄今无可取代的风韵。
