以色列考古学家在新修建的监狱工地发现一座古老教堂的遗址，教堂遗址座落在以色列北部Megiddo，邻近圣经中描述的世界末日善恶决战的战场(Amagedon)，遗址上的磁砖中有鱼的图案和耶稣基督的古希腊文字。
这个教堂被认为是建于拜占庭时代的公元三世纪，以色列考古人员根据磁砖中几个图案的样式，希腊文的写法，以及用鱼而不是十字架来作为基督教的象征，他们认为这个教堂在四世纪就被废弃了，以色列总理沙龙称这个发现是(一个令人惊奇的故事)。(图片来源：Getty Images)
