金秋健行（上）
秋高气爽，正是hiking的好时光。前几天俺就带着Ricco开车在arizona转了一圈，一共开了1200多哩。因为带了狗狗，俺就尽量选风景优美又dog-friendly的地方玩。Ricco上车睡觉，下车撒尿，不时还被麻麻拉着拍个到此一游式的照片。片子太多，这里各个地方选三张发上来。 Enjoy!第一站是flagstaff附近的san francisco peaks, 是arizona最高的山。我们走的是半山腰的Kachina trail。小道穿过大片的桦树林，是赏秋叶的好去处。

接下来开车到Holbrook，住motel 6。这家motel很便宜，也不收pet fee, $40 一晚。设施虽然简单但很干净。

第二天一早到petrified forest, 公园里有很多硅化的木头。我最喜欢的还是blue mesa trail.漂亮的紫灰蓝色条纹是土壤里的铁锰氧化物形成的。

过了painted desert,又开了几个小时的车到monument valley。途中经过的canyon de chinle NP 也是很好玩的地方。不过那里不能带狗，我也就没有停留。晚上就在monument valley露营，刚认识的一个印第安人司机Duffy帮我搭的帐篷。
