中国谚语英翻中..你猜对多少?作者 lateisha 
 
<DIV class=post-content>上星期因为看了"大小爱吃", 大S小S访问阿雅的那一集, 里面问到了几个用中文谚语考阿雅中翻英的问题, 来美国近10年的我竟然没有一题答对..让我忍不住在网上找了几个不错的例子练习一下... 
好笑的是,后来有机会和一个会中文的美国人聊天, 大家就把这个好玩的游戏给玩开了...过两天我要把下面的例子回考他们
以下都是有名的中国成语或中国谚语, 看看有没有人会全部答对!

我猜猜看： 5：有其父必有其子；8：坏事传千里；9：三思而后行；12：岁月如梭；13：眼见为凭；16：爱情是盲目的；17：健康就是财富（福气啦！）；19：知识就是力量；20：有钱能使鬼推磨；22：我思故我在；26：隔墙有耳；27：新官上任三把火（乱猜）；30：岁月不饶人；31：沈默是金；35：好死不如歹活（乱猜）；38：时间就是金钱；39：人面桃花；40：金窝银窝不如自己的狗窝；41：血浓于水；42：好的开始是成功的一半；43：盗亦有道；45：说的比唱的好听；46：金窝银窝不如自己的狗窝（ㄟ？重复？）；47：好聚好散；48：人言可畏。 我认真了。

Late friuts keep well. 大器晚成。

Well begun is half done. 好的开始是成功的一半。（这个也不是中国谚语）／好象中國人更講究不要虎頭蛇尾，強調要有始有終，比如講行百里者半九十．如果要挑一個跟此句近似的意思的中國俗語，那＂萬事開頭難＂也許還湊合 #44. Grasp all, lose all. 贪他一斗米，失却半年粮。？？？？／有點一心二用的意思，全都想要，結果樣樣做不好（都失去）．其實有句俗話更貼切，狗攬八泡屎，泡泡舔不淨． 60. Have a card up one's sleeve. 成竹在胸。／山人自有妙計 61. Put the cart before the horse. 本末倒置。／感覺有點過頭了，本末倒置把根本的問題與細枝末節的顛倒，好象這則英諺只是說次序的顛倒，也許顛三倒四更合適一些． 64. Late friuts keep well. 大器晚成。／勿揠苗助長說＂以下都是有名的中国成语或中国谚语, 看看有没有人会全部答对!＂，但本人感覺有些是源自英文，並非所有都是源自中文吧．象put the cart before the horse,偶查了一下，西元1520年羅伯特‧懷丁頓在《庸俗》(Vulgarian)一書中首先提到，1589年普坦汉姆在其著作《英诗技巧》（Arte of English Poesie）亦提及．但從字面上看，顯然只有次序問題，偶所查到的資料說，人家就是意指本末的倒置，這有些奇怪，難道就沒有象中文＂本末倒置＂這樣的更清楚的表達方式嗎？這難道不容易引起別人的誤解嗎？研究比較文化是挺有趣的一件事．
