一位用户在 Reddit 上发帖称， 他和妻子搭乘航班从吉尔吉斯斯坦的奥什飞抵新疆的喀什市，在入境处两人的 Android 手机（Moto x4 和华为 Mate 9）被中国边警安装了软件，安装之后手机主屏上出现了应用的图标，警察启动了该应用程序，然后图标就隐藏了。警察还在他坚持在场的情况下检查了他的笔记本电脑和相机。警察使用的机器有一个英文标签叫 Phone Hunter ID，机器大小与便捷式信用卡机相近。他们发现手机被开启了蓝牙。作者表示下一次他会带一部备用机和副账号旅行，他对这一情况感到不安。目前还不清楚边警在手机上安装了什么软件，安全研究人员都对这部手机非常感兴趣，都想要研究下中国警方使用的恶意程序。
