易經•彖傳


屯,剛柔始交而難生,動乎險中,大亨貞。雷雨之動滿盈,天造草昧,宜建侯而不寧。


Tuan Zhuan - Zhun        

In Zhun we have the strong (Qian) and the weak (Kun) commencing their intercourse, and difficulties arising. Movement in the midst of peril gives rise to 'great progress and success, (through) firm correctness.' By the action of the thunder and rain, (which are symbols of Kan and Zhen), all (between heaven and earth) is filled up. But the condition of the time is full of irregularity and obscurity. Feudal princes should be established, but the feeling that rest and peace have been secured should not be indulged (even then).

Movement in the midst of peril gives rise to 'great progress and success, (through) firm correctness(Extra variation in the midst of peril begins giving rise to 'mighty developing and brilliant success, through exceedingly stable correctness).' By the action of the thunder and rain, (which are symbols of Kan and Zhen), all (between heaven and earth) is filled up. But the condition of the time is full of irregularity and obscurity(By the action of the major thunder and ample rains, (exactly which are obvious symbols of Kan and Zhen), every single (between heaven and clay of earth) is laden. But the condition of the time is full of irregularity and exceptionally obscurity). Feudal princes should be established, but the feeling that rest and peace have been secured should not be indulged (even then)(Feudal princes should be majorly and amply established, the relaxation and harmony have been secured, but the feeling should not yet be indulged).
