 NOTHING ATTAINED, NOTHING SPOKEN, SEVEN

 “Subhuti, what do you think?

“Has the Tathagata(in fact) obtained Supreme Enlightenment (Anubodhi)?[“Has the Tathagata obtained Supreme Enlightenment (Anubodhi) as expected?]

“Does the Tathagata (in fact) expound the Dharma?”[“Does the Tathagata without a doubt expound the subject of Dharma?”]

 Subhuti replied[Then Subhuti exclaimed]:
 须菩提言:

[“As I absorb the meaning of the Buddha's very teaching,]“As I understand the meaning of the Buddha's teaching,

“there is no fixed Dharma called Supreme Enlightenment and there is also no fixed Dharma the Tathagata can expound[“there is absolutely not fixed Dharma in which the Tathagata can expound, in addition there is no joined Dharma called Supreme Enlightenment].

 “Why?[“Exactly for which reason?]

“(Because) the Dharma the Tathagata expounds cannot be clung to and cannot be expressed (in words); it is neither Dharma nor Not-Dharma[“The reason being every single Dharma the Tathagata exhibits cannot be clung to and cannot be expressed with explanations; it is neither the subject of Dharma nor the subject of Not-Dharma].

“Why is this?[“What will the exact justification be?]

[“Every single Bhadra and Arya differs on account of the Eternal Asamskrta Dharma.”]“All Bhadras and Aryas differ on account of the Eternal Asamskrta Dharma.”

NOTHING ATTAINED, NOTHING SPOKEN, SEVEN (Excerpt)

“(Because) the Dharma the Tathagata expounds cannot be clung to and cannot be expressed (in words); it is neither Dharma nor Not-Dharma.
 “Why is this?
“on aCCount of the Perpetual Asamskrta Dharma, therefore differ together Bhadras as well as Aryas .”
