Quran
2 The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

(Following up)

214. Or do you expect to enter Paradise before the example of those who came before you had reached you? Adversity and hardship had afflicted them, and they were so shaken up, that the Messenger and those who believed with him said, “When is God’s victory?” Indeed, God’s victory is near.

215. They ask you what they should give. Say, “Whatever charity you give is for the parents, and the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor, and the wayfarer. Whatever good you do, God is aware of it.

216. Fighting is ordained for you, even though you dislike it. But it may be that you dislike something while it is good for you, and it may be that you like something while it is bad for you. God knows, and you do not know.

217. They ask you about fighting during the Holy Month. Say, “Fighting during it is deplorable; but to bar others from God’s path, and to disbelieve in Him, and to prevent access to the Holy Mosque, and to expel its people from it, are more deplorable with God. And persecution is more serious than killing. They will not cease to fight you until they turn you back from your religion, if they can. Whoever among you turns back from his religion, and dies a disbeliever—those are they whose works will come to nothing, in this life, and in the Hereafter. Those are the inmates of the Fire, abiding in it forever.

218. Those who believed, and those who migrated and fought for the sake of God—those look forward to God’s mercy. God is Forgiving and Merciful.

219. They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say, “There is gross sin in them, and some benefits for people, but their sinfulness outweighs their benefit.” And they ask you about what they should give: say, “The surplus.” Thus God explains the revelations to you, so that you may think.

220. About this world and the next. And they ask you about orphans. Say, “Improvement for them is best. And if you intermix with them, then they are your brethren.” God knows the dishonest from the honest. Had God willed, He could have overburdened you. God is Mighty and Wise.

Quran
2 The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

(Following up)

214. Or do you expect to enter Paradise before the example of those who came before you had reached you? Adversity and hardship had afflicted them, and they were so shaken up, that the Messenger and those who believed with him said, “When is God’s victory?” Indeed, God’s victory is near[Or rather do you expect to gain access to Paradise before the extraordinary example of those human beings who came in advance of you had eagerly found you? Many kinds of imbroglio and tribulation had aggravated them, and they were exceptionally shocked, in such a manner that the unobjectionable Messenger and those who exactly believed along with him said, “When is God’s victory and enactment?” Beyond question, God’s victory inclusive of enactment is eagerly bordering].

215. They ask you what they should give. Say, “Whatever charity you give is for the parents, and the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor, and the wayfarer. Whatever good you do, God is aware of it[They are likely to cross-examine you what they should offer. Say goodly, “Any major and small alms you bestow is in the expectation of the fathers and mothers, and the best relatives, and the growing orphans, and the needy, with the addition of the wayfarer. Whatever favorable thing you engage in, God is in fact informed of it].

216. Fighting is ordained for you, even though you dislike it. But it may be that you dislike something while it is good for you, and it may be that you like something while it is bad for you. God knows, and you do not know[Fighting is ordained meant for you, in spite of you exceedingly abhor it. And just the same it may perhaps be that you exceptionally object to something on the contrary it is marvelous for the purpose of you; in spite of this it may be that you exceedingly luxuriate something just at the same time as it is extraordinarily lamentable and unprofitable in the direction of you. God undergoes and knows, you do not think all the same].

217. They ask you about fighting during the Holy Month. Say, “Fighting during it is deplorable; but to bar others from God’s path, and to disbelieve in Him, and to prevent access to the Holy Mosque, and to expel its people from it, are more deplorable with God[They enquire you as far as is concerned battling at the time of the Holy Month. Say, “Battling at the time of the Holy Month is some kind of execrable; supposing it is the case that to unjustly slam others away from God’s path, and to exactly disbelieve in and scoff at God, and to prohibit ingress to the Holy shrine and mosque, and to bin off its groups of men and women out of it, are exceptionally grievous and loathsome in view of God]. And persecution is more serious than killing[And subjugation is more serious than extermination]. They will not cease to fight you until they turn you back from your religion, if they can. Whoever among you turns back from his religion, and dies a disbeliever—those are they whose works will come to nothing, in this life, and in the Hereafter. Those are the inmates of the Fire, abiding in it forever[They will not cease to fight you ending with they turn you back from your religion, so long as they can. Whoever among you turns back away from his religion and belief, and dies among unbelief—those are they whose preexistent labors will come to nothing, at the time of this life, and at the time of the Hereafter. Those are the objectionable inmates of the Fire, existing among it day and night].

218. Those who believed, and those who migrated and fought for the sake of God—those look forward to God’s mercy. God is Forgiving and Merciful[Those godly people who believed, and those who originally migrated and fought as a mark of respect to Godthose look forward to God’s kindness and mercy. God is Forgiving and Merciful].

219. They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say, “There is gross sin in them, and some benefits for people, but their sinfulness outweighs their benefit.” And they ask you about what they should give: say, “The surplus.” Thus God explains the revelations to you, so that you may think[They ask you on the topic of gambling secondly intoxicants. Say, “For a fact there are many shameless offenses in them, just at the same time as there are some benefits and luxury especially for certain people, but their sinfulness outweighs prodigiously their benefit and amenity.” And they inquire you about anything they should offer: say, “The excess.” In that manner God unobjectionably makes clear the explanation of the revelations of the Word of God to you, with the purpose that you may possibly take meaning].

220. About this world and the next. And they ask you about orphans. Say, “Improvement for them is best. And if you intermix with them, then they are your brethren.” God knows the dishonest from the honest. Had God willed, He could have overburdened you. God is Mighty and Wise[On the subject of this existing world and the hereafter. And they inquire you about foundlings. Say, “Any amelioration aimed at them is sort of extraordinary. And let's assume you blend adjacent to them, afterwards they are your extra good sisters and brothers.” God beholds the dishonest out of the righteous. On any occasion had God willed, He could have of course overburdened you. God is Wise and Mighty].
