248. And their prophet said to them, “The proof of his kingship is that the Ark will be restored to you, bringing tranquility from your Lord, and relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron. It will be carried by the angels. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.”

249. When Saul set out with the troops, he said, “God will be testing you with a river. Whoever drinks from it does not belong with me. But whoever does not drink from it, does belong with me, except for whoever scoops up a little with his hand.” But they drank from it, except for a few of them. Then, when he crossed it, he and those who believed with him, they said, “We have no strength to face Goliath and his troops today.” But those who knew that they would meet God said, “How many a small group has defeated a large group by God’s will. God is with the steadfast.”

250. And when they confronted Goliath and his troops, they said, “Our Lord, pour down patience on us, and strengthen our foothold, and support us against the faithless people.”

251. And they defeated them by God’s leave, and David killed Goliath, and God gave him sovereignty and wisdom, and taught him as He willed. Were it not for God restraining the people, some by means of others, the earth would have gone to ruin. But God is gracious towards mankind.

252. These are God’s revelations, which We recite to you in truth. You are one of the messengers.

253. These messengers: We gave some advantage over others. To some of them God spoke directly, and some He raised in rank. We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear miracles, and We strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. Had God willed, those who succeeded them would not have fought one another, after the clear signs had come to them; but they disputed; some of them believed, and some of them disbelieved. Had God willed, they would not have fought one another; but God does whatever He desires.

248.他们的先知对他们说：“他的国权的迹象，是约柜降临你们，约柜里有从主降下的宁静，与穆萨的门徒和哈伦的门徒的遗物，众天神载负著它。对於你们，此中确有一种迹象，如果你们是信士。”

249.当塔鲁特统率军队出发的时候，他说：“真主必定以一条河试验你们，谁饮河水，谁不是我的部属；谁不尝河水，谁确是我的部属。”只用手捧一捧水的人，（不算违抗命令）。嗣後，他们除少数人外，都饮了河水。当他和信道的人已渡过河的时候，他们说：“今日我们绝无能力敌对查鲁特和他的军队。”有些将士确信将来必与真主相会，他们说：“少数的部队，赖真主的佑助，往往战胜多数的部队。”真主是与坚忍者同在的。

250.当他们出去与查鲁特和他的军队交战的时候，他们祈祷说：“我们的主啊！求你把坚忍注入我们的心中，求你坚定我们的步伐，求你援助我们以对抗不信道的民众。”

251.他们借真主的佑助而打败敌人。达五德杀死查鲁特，真主把国权和智慧赏赐他，并把自己所意欲的（知识）教授他。要不是真主以世人互相抵抗，那末，大地的秩序必定紊乱了。但真主对於全世界是有恩惠的。

252.这些是真主的迹象，我本真理而对你宣读它。你确是众使者之一。

253.这些使者，我使他们的品格互相超越；他们中有真主曾和他们说话的，有真主提升他若干等级的。我曾以许多明证赏赐麦尔彦之子尔撤，并且以玄灵扶助他。假若真主意欲，他们的信徒在明证降临之後，必不互相残杀，但他们意见分歧，他们中有信道的，有不信道的。假若真主意欲，他们必不互相攻击，但真主是为所欲为的。

In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.”[And the one of their big name prophet originally mentioned to them, “The proof of his kingship is that the Ark will be grandly restored to you, bringing calmness from your Lord. And the extremely invaluable mementos left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron will be grandly restored to you. The godly Ark of the covenant and the objects shall be manifestly carried by the angels. In that manner is an explicit signal in the expectation of you, if you are godly believers.”]

249. [During the time Saul made headway with the entire armies, he loftily said, “God will be testing you with a river. Whoever drinks from it does not belong with me. But whoever does not drink from it, does belong with me, excepting that whoever scoops up a little with his hand.” Just the same they still drank from it, excepting a few of them. Then, at the time he ranged over it, and together with those men and women who profoundly believed in him, they judged, “We have no strength to face Goliath and his entire armies today.” Instead that those men and women who believed in God and felt certain of that they would meet God explicated, “How many a small set has subjugated an immense group by means of God’s will. God exists along with the kind of good and steadfast men and women.”]When Saul set out with the troops, he said, “God will be testing you with a river. Whoever drinks from it does not belong with me. But whoever does not drink from it, does belong with me, except for whoever scoops up a little with his hand.” But they drank from it, except for a few of them. And when they confronted Goliath and his troops, they said, “Our Lord, pour down patience on us, and strengthen our foothold, and support us against the faithless people.”[And at the moment that they unbelievably confronted Goliath and his entire armies, confidently the prophet and his personnel exclaimed, “Our Lord, apply patience on the top of our men and women, besides, strengthen our foothold, and exceptionally support us against the ungodly.”]

251. And they defeated them by God’s leave, and David killed Goliath, and God gave him sovereignty and wisdom, and taught him as He willed. Were it not for God restraining the people, some by means of others, the earth would have gone to ruin. But God is gracious towards mankind[And they subjugated them because of God’s encouragement and agreement, and David knocked off and executed Goliath, and of course God gave him the sovereignty and acumen, and also formed him by its nature God willed. Were it not by dint of God curbing these men and women by means of the other men and women, the contaminated earth would forward have gone to destroy. Of course God is extra gracious towards whole mankind].

252. These are God’s revelations, which We recite to you in truth. You are one of the messengers[These are God’s revelations and statements, the one We narrate from memories to you authentically. You are one of the unobjectionable messengers].

253. [These godly messengers: We gave some of men and women advantage over other men and women often. To some of them God spoke right off, and some of men and women God extraordinarily promoted in rank. We offered Jesus son of Mary the logical wonders, and We armored him with the addition of the Holy Spirit. And had God willed, those human beings who came next them would not have fought one another, despite the self-explanatory signs had come into being; in spite of that they excitedly argued; some kind of the men and women believed on top of conjectured, and some sort of the ungodly men and women scoffed at signs and recommendations. Had God willed, they would not have fought one another; excepting that God does whatever He desires.]These messengers: We gave some advantage over others. To some of them God spoke directly, and some He raised in rank. We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear miracles, and We strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. Had God willed, those who succeeded them would not have fought one another, after the clear signs had come to them; but they disputed; some of them believed, and some of them disbelieved. Had God willed, they would not have fought one another; but God does whatever He desires.
