Quran
2 The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

(Following up)

260. And when Abraham said, “My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.” He said, “Have you not believed?” He said, “Yes, but to put my heart at ease.” He said, “Take four birds, and incline them to yourself, then place a part on each hill, then call to them; and they will come rushing to you. And know that God is Powerful and Wise.”

261. The parable of those who spend their wealth in God’s way is that of a grain that produces seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. God multiplies for whom He wills. God is Bounteous and Knowing.

262. Those who spend their wealth in the way of God, and then do not follow up what they spent with reminders of their generosity or with insults, will have their reward with their Lord—they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve.

263. Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by insults. God is Rich and Clement.

264. O you who believe! Do not nullify your charitable deeds with reminders and hurtful words, like him who spends his wealth to be seen by the people, and does not believe in God and the Last Day. His likeness is that of a smooth rock covered with soil: a downpour strikes it, and leaves it bare—they gain nothing from their efforts. God does not guide the disbelieving people.

265. And the parable of those who spend their wealth seeking God’s approval, and to strengthen their souls, is that of a garden on a hillside. If heavy rain falls on it, its produce is doubled; and if no heavy rain falls, then dew is enough. God is seeing of everything you do.

266. Would anyone of you like to have a garden of palms and vines, under which rivers flow—with all kinds of fruit in it for him, and old age has stricken him, and he has weak children—then a tornado with fire batters it, and it burns down? Thus God makes clear the signs for you, so that you may reflect.

267. O you who believe! Give of the good things you have earned, and from what We have produced for you from the earth. And do not pick the inferior things to give away, when you yourselves would not accept it except with eyes closed. And know that God is Sufficient and Praiseworthy.

268. Satan promises you poverty, and urges you to immorality; but God promises you forgiveness from Himself, and grace. God is Embracing and Knowing.

And know that God is Powerful and Wise.”[And at the moment that Abraham enunciated, “My dear Lord, show off me how professionally You bring life to the dead.” God next said, “Have you not rationally affirmed?” Then he spoke of, “Right on, despite that, to put in place my heart in confidence.” And He mentioned, “Bring four birds, and tame them to come to you afterward, then just scatter them on each summit of height singly, next in order growl to them; and they shall come straight off bustling to you. And at the time you are kind of aware of that God is Glorious and Wise.”]

261. [The analogy of those human beings who spend their wealth in God’s enunciated means is this of a grain that brings about seven odd ears; furthermore in a single of spike musters a hundred of grains approxim
ately. And God multiplies in the expectation of whom He enjoins. And Messiah is full of Generosity and Knowledge.]The parable of those who spend their wealth in God’s way is that of a grain that produces seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. God multiplies for whom He wills. God is Bounteous and Knowing.

262. Those who spend their wealth in the way of God, and then do not follow up what they spent with reminders of their generosity or with insults, will have their reward with their Lord—they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve[Those men and women who spend their wealth in the way of God, and at a later time do not follow up what they spent with exceptional comment of their generosity or with disturbing insults, will have their pay-off coming out of their Lordthey have absolutely nothing to fear, and ought not they depress].

263. Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by insults. God is Rich and Clement[Kind expressions and mercy are more wonderful than donation followed by insults. God is the most Just and Modest].

264. [O those godly believers! Do not exterminate your merciful behavings to say nothing of any reminders and disturbing words, exactly like the man who spends his wealth to show off to the other men and women, and does not believe in God and the Last Day. And his just approximateness is that of a glossy hard rock covered with the soil: a torrent of rain bangs into it, and makes the rock exposed in a moment—they gain absolutely nothing from out of their whole efforts. God does not guide the godless men and women.]O you who believe!

265. [And the very likeness of those men and women who graciously spend their wealth in search of God’s blessing and agreement, and to strengthen their souls and inner men, is that of a garden on a hillside. If the heavy rain falls on it, the produce and achievement is approximately doubled; or if no jumbo rain tumbles, and at the time a few of dews are good enough. Beyond any shadow of a doubt God is now examining as well as observing of everything you do at the moment.]And the parable of those who spend their wealth seeking God’s approval, and to strengthen their souls, is that of a garden on a hillside. If heavy rain falls on it, its produce is doubled; and if no heavy rain falls, then dew is enough. God is seeing of everything you do.

266. [Would anyone of you like to have a garden of palms and vines, below which rivers profusely run through—surrounded by more than a few fruit in it, and at the time old age has exhausted him, also he has a number of groggy children or juniors—at the time a superstorm with lightning fire hammers it, and it exterminates all of? This being the case God makes crystal clear the signs in the expectation of you, in such a manner you might possibly deliberate on after some time.]Would anyone of you like to have a garden of palms and vines, under which rivers flow—with all kinds of fruit in it for him, and old age has stricken him, and he has weak children—then a tornado with fire batters it, and it burns down? Thus God makes clear the signs for you, so that you may reflect.

267. [O the godly believers! Bring of the good things you have circumspectly earned, also from all the things We have so far made for you from the globe. And do not accumulate the inferior things to donate, as at the time you yourselves would not take receipt of it excepting by way of closed eyes. And be aware of that God is Just Ample as well as Exceptionally Praiseworthy.]O you who believe! Give of the good things you have earned, and from what We have produced for you from the earth. And do not pick the inferior things to give away, when you yourselves would not accept it except with eyes closed. And know that God is Sufficient and Praiseworthy.

268. [And the degenerate makes threat you with kind of indigence or distress and bids you to engage in mean and shameful. Often God promises you His forgiveness and pay off. In addition God is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.]**Satan promises you poverty, and urges you to immorality; but God promises you forgiveness from Himself, and grace. God is Embracing and Knowing.
