PLATE XVI. (2)

Text [CHAPTER XXIXA.]:[1] (1) THE CHAPTER OF THE HEART NOT BEING CARRIED AWAY IN THE UNDERWORLD. He saith: "My heart (2) is with me, and it shall never come to pass that it shall be carried away. I am the lord of hearts, the slayer of the heart. (3) I live in right and in truth, and I have my being therein. I am Horus, a pure heart (4) within a pure body. I live by my word, and my heart doth live. Let not my heart be taken away (5), let it not be wounded, and may no wounds or gashes be dealt upon me because it hath been taken away[2] from me. (6) May I exist in the body of my father Seb, and in the body of my mother Nut. I have not done evil (7) against the gods; I have not sinned with boasting."

Text [CHAPTER XXIXA.]:[1] (1) THE CHAPTER OF THE HEART NOT BEING CARRIED AWAY IN THE UNDERWORLD[THE DISTINCT EPISODE OF THE NAMELESS HEART NOT BEING CARRIED OFF IN THE GLOOMY UNDERWORLD]. He saith: "My heart is with me, and it shall never come to pass that it shall be carried away. I am the lord of hearts, the slayer of the heart. I live in right and in truth, and I have my being therein. I am Horus, a pure heart within a pure body[Saith piously, Osiris, the scribe Ani: "My heart existeth along with me, and it shall noway come into being that it shall be carried off. I am the lord of hearts, the slayer or destroyer of the linked heart. I bide in truth and in right, in that matter, I have my existence oft. I am Horus, a just heart amid a cleansed body]. I live by my word, and my heart doth live. Let not my heart be taken away, let it not be wounded, and may no wounds or gashes be dealt upon me because it hath been taken away from me. May I exist in the body of my father Seb, and in the body of my mother Nut. I have not done evil against the gods; I have not sinned with boasting."[Furthermore I exist according to my saying, and my heart doth exist. Therefore let not my belonging heart be taken off, let it not be even slightly injured, and might not a bit of wounds or gashes be brought into existense about me just because it manifestly hath been taken away from out of me. May I exist among the body of my father Seb, and in the body of my mother Nut. I have not done diabolic against the gods; to say nothing of I have not sinned with boasting."]
