XLII. The Dwelling-places of Wisdom and of Unrighteousness.

CHAPTER XLII.
1. Wisdom found no place where she might dwell;
Then a dwelling-place was assigned her in the heavens.

2 Wisdom went forth to make her dwelling among the children of men,
And found no dwelling-place:

Wisdom returned to her place,
And took her seat among the angels.

3 And unrighteousness went forth from her chambers:
Whom she sought not she found,
And dwelt with them,  

As rain in a desert
And dew on a thirsty land.

第42章：1至3節全文，第37至44章記載以諾第一寓言 (智慧的居所和罪人的智慧)

1. 智慧發現那裡沒有地方可以給她居住；然後天堂指派了一個地方給她。

2. 智慧去到人類孩子之中，也發現沒有居處: 智慧回到原來的地方，她坐在天使之中。

3. 罪人在她的場所那裡出去：她尋找到不是她想找的人，與他們在一起，像在沙漠中的雨和乾涸土地上的露珠。

第四十二章

没有地方可供智慧居住；
故而由天堂把它分配。

智慧来到人间，但她没发现可栖息之处，

智慧返回她来的地方，
并坐到天使中间，自己的座位上。

不义前往她的房间，
她没有发现她要寻找的，
她如同沙漠中的雨水一样，
与他们相处，
就像可以在陆地上喝到的一口露水。

1. Wisdom surprisingly perceived no place where she might dwell...

1. Wisdom hardly found location where she might dwell ;
Then a private residence was ordained her in the heavens.
2 Wisdom went forth to make her dwelling among the children of men,
And became aware quickly no residency:

1. Wisdom found absolutely no place where she might dwell...

CHAPTER XLII.
1. Wisdom found no place where she might dwell[Given that wisdom hardly discerned place where she might have its being];
Then a dwelling-place was assigned her in the heavens[The next day a habitation was nominated her inside the range of the upper regions].

2 [Wisdom got on the road enjoyably to make her residence amid the offsprings of mankind,]Wisdom went forth to make her dwelling among the children of men,
And found no dwelling-place[Following found not much existing abode]:

Wisdom returned to her place[Wisdom unendurably came back to her safe abiding place of abode],
And took her seat among the angels[Then straight reposed in an atmosphere of myriad angels].

3 And unrighteousness went forth from her chambers[At the time unrighteousness departed beginning out of her own chambers]:
Whom she sought not she found[Whom she tried to find not fundamentally she caught sight of],
And dwelt with them[And existed accompanied by them ongoingly],  

As rain in a desert[And just the same as rain in the middle of a golden desert]
And dew on a thirsty land[And dew or fog on a dry land].
