Hymn to the Nile
Translated by Paul Guieysse
Chapter V
He is prosperous to the height of all desires,
without fatiguing himself therefor.
He brings again his lordly bark;
he is not sculptured in stone, in the statues crowned with the uræus serpent,
he cannot be contemplated.
No servitors has he, no bearers of offerings!
He is not enticed by incantations!
None knows the place where he dwells,
None discovers his retreat by the power of a written spell.

他的住所無人知曉;
也沒有他的神龕,繪著多彩的字形。

Hymn to the Nile
Chapter V
He is prosperous to the height of all desires[There He is unobjectionably timely as well as well-off to the height of all desires],
without fatiguing himself therefor[without exhausting and also tormenting himself therefor].
He brings again his lordly bark[Afresh He brings his lordly shine, adornment and baying];
he is not sculptured in stone, in the statues crowned with the uræus serpent[as a matter of fact He is not sculpturally formed in strange stone, and out of the luxuriant carvings crowned with the uræus serpent]*,
he cannot be contemplated[He cannot be conjured up an image of such things].
No servitors has he, no bearers of offerings[Not any domestics has he, no exceptional messengers nor bringers of offerings]!
He is not enticed by incantations[Admittedly He is not being coaxed via sleight of hand and also allurements]!
None knows the place where he dwells[Not a single person has knowledge of the region where He abides],
None discovers his retreat by the power of a written spell[Furthermore none already makes evident his jaunt by means of the strength or endowment of a written sleight of hand].
