98 Clear Evidence (al-Bayyinah)

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
   
1. Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture, and the Polytheists, were not apart, until the Clear Evidence came to them.
2. A messenger from God reciting purified Scripts.
3. In them are valuable writings.
4. Those who were given the Scripture did not splinter, except after the Clear Evidence came to them.
5. They were commanded only to worship God, devoting their faith to Him alone, and to practice regular prayer, and to give alms. That is the upright religion.
6. Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture, and the Polytheists, will be in the Fire of Hell, where they will abide forever. These are the worst of creatures.
7. As for those who believe and lead a righteous life—these are the best of creatures.
8. Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eternity beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears His Lord.

Surah 98. The Clear Proof, Evidence

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

1. Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, were not going to depart (from their ways) until there should come to them Clear Evidence,-
2. An apostle from Allah, rehearsing Scriptures kept pure and holy:
3. Wherein are laws (or decrees) right and straight.
4. Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence.
5. And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight.
6. Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.
7. Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures.
8. Their reward is with Allah. Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher.

第九八章 明证 (半以奈)

这章是麦地那的，全章共计八节。

奉至仁至慈的真主之名

1. 信奉天经者和以物配主者，他们中不信道的人没有离开自己原有的信仰，直到明证来临他们。
2. 那个明证是真主所派遣的一个使者，他诵读纯洁的册页，
3. 中有许多正确的经文。
4. 信奉天经者，没有分离，直到明证来临他们。
5. 他们只奉命崇拜真主，虔诚敬意，恪遵正教，谨守拜功，完纳天课，这是正教。
6. 信奉天经者和以物配主者，他们中不信道的人，必入火狱，而永居其中；这等人是最恶的人。
7. 信道而行善的人，是最善的人，
8. 他们在他们的主那里的报酬是下临诸河的常住的乐园，他们将永居其中，真主喜悦他们，他们也喜悦他；这是畏惧真主者所有的。

In the significantly prestigious name of God, the Permissive, the Gracious.
1. Those men and women who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture, and the Polytheists, were not apart, until the Clear Evidence came to them.

In the second to none name of God, the Grand, the Merciful.
1. Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture, and the Polytheists, were not apart, until the Clear Evidence bordered quickly on them.
2. A messenger from God reciting purified Scripts.
3. Contained by them are valuable writings.
  
In the everlasting name of God, the Permissive, the absolutely Gracious.

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful[In the majestic name of Most Extraordinary, Most Benignant God].
   
1. Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture, and the Polytheists, were not apart, until the Clear Evidence came to them[Those who wholly disproven amid the obstinate human beings of the Word of God, and the Polytheists, were not unanimous, pending the Solid Evidence of God came exceptionally to all of them all in good time].
2. A messenger from God reciting purified Scripts[An unobjectionable messenger from out of God expressing the uncontaminated Word of God].
3. In them are valuable writings[Contained by them are all sort of valuable writings or words].
4. Those who were given the Scripture did not splinter, except after the Clear Evidence came to them[Those who were really given at the time the Word of God did not break into fragments, with the exclusion of after the Straightforward Evidence came to all of them all in good time].
5. They were commanded only to worship God, devoting their faith to Him alone, and to practice regular prayer, and to give alms. That is the upright religion[They were enjoyably commanded solely to glorify God, consecrating merely their confidence to God, and to exercise supplication and commendation often, together with to generously donate alms besides offering. That is really the glorified religion].
6. Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture, and the Polytheists, will be in the Fire of Hell, where they will abide forever. These are the worst of creatures[Those who disbelieve among the obstinate human beings of the Word of God, the atheistical and the famed Polytheists, will of course be in the flames of gloomy underworld, where they will certainly chamber exceptionally forever and ever. These are the worst of all worst dudes].
7. As for those who believe and lead a righteous life—these are the best of creatures[In terms of those who believe and lead a lordly, just and blameless life—these are the best of all world class, extraordinary fellows].
8. Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eternity beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears His Lord[Their reward is at the side of their Lord: Gardens of eternal home beside which brooks flow paradisaically, where they will abide at length. God is content accompanied by all of them eagerly, beyond question they are comforted in the company of God. That is for whoever stands in awe of their Lord].
