Hymn to the Nile

Chapter XII

When thou shinest in the royal city,  
the rich man is sated with good things,
the poor man even disdains the lotus;
all that is produced is of the choicest;
all the plants exist for thy children.
If thou hast refused (to grant) nourishment,
the dwelling is silent, devoid of all that is good
the country falls exhausted.

第七章

大水來了，快樂隨之到來！
所有的心都很高興：
鱷魚的牙齒，內德神的孩子
以及與你齊名的諸神。
他以氾濫滋潤了大地，
快樂征服了人們；
潤澤了這裡，又稼穡在別處。
無人與他一起工作，
食品來了，他無需內德神的參與。
他使人們都很歡欣。

Chapter XII

When thou shinest in the royal city[At the moment that thou emanateth brightly in the middle of the lordly sectional],  
the rich man is sated with good things[the of means and abundant human being is all overfilled as a result of good things],
the poor man even disdains the lotus[the exceptionally impoverished man often rejects calmly the soft-colored lotus];
all that is produced is of the choicest[all that is being produced is of the chosen and acme];
all the plants exist for thy children[furthermore, any of the famed plants exist around belonging to thy children].
If thou hast refused (to grant) nourishment[Only if thou hast abstained to grant ordinary aliment],
the dwelling is silent, devoid of all that is good[all homes are kind of extra silent and recoiling, devoid of all that is good,]
the country falls exhausted[the country just falls impoverished].
