62 Friday (al-Jumu'ah)
  
In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
  
1. Everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies God the Sovereign, the Holy, the Almighty, the Wise.
2. It is He who sent among the unlettered a messenger from themselves; reciting His revelations to them, and purifying them, and teaching them the Scripture and wisdom; although they were in obvious error before that.
3. And others from them, who have not yet joined them. He is the Glorious, the Wise.
4. That is God’s grace, which He grants to whomever He wills. God is Possessor of limitless grace.
5. The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah*, but then failed to uphold it, is like the donkey carrying works of literature. Miserable is the example of the people who denounce God’s revelations. God does not guide the wrongdoing people.
6. Say, “O you who follow Judaism; if you claim to be the chosen of God, to the exclusion of the rest of mankind, then wish for death if you are sincere.”
7. But they will not wish for it, ever, due to what their hands have advanced. God knows well the wrongdoers.
8. Say, “The death from which you flee will catch up with you; then you will be returned to the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will inform you of what you used to do.”
9. O you who believe! When the call is made for prayer on Congregation Day, hasten to the remembrance of God, and drop all business. That is better for you, if you only knew.
10. Then, when the prayer is concluded, disperse through the land, and seek God’s bounty, and remember God much, so that you may prosper.
11. Yet whenever they come across some business, or some entertainment, they scramble towards it, and leave you standing. Say, “What is with God is better than entertainment and business; and God is the Best of providers.”

奉至仁至慈的真主之名

1. 凡在天地间的，都赞颂真主至洁的、万能的、至睿的君主，超绝万物的君主。

2. 他在文盲中派遣一个同族的使者，去对他们宣读他的迹象，并培养他们，教授他们天经和智慧，尽管以前他们确是在明显的迷误中；

3. 并教化还没有赶上他们的其他人。真主是万能的，是至睿的。

4. 这是真主的恩典，他把它赏赐他所欲赏赐的人们，真主是有宏恩的。

5. 奉命遵守《讨拉特》*而不遵守者，譬如驮经的驴子。否认真主的迹象的民众的譬喻，真恶劣！真主是不引导不义的民众的。

6. 你说：“信奉犹太教的人们啊！如果你们自称是真主的选民，而排斥众人，那你们就希望早死吧，如果你们是诚实者。”

7. 他们因为曾经犯过罪，所以永远不希望早死。真主是全知不义者的。

8. 你说：“你们所逃避的死亡，必定与你们会面，然後你们将被送到全知幽明的主那里，他将把你们的行为告诉你们。”

9. 信道的人们啊！当聚礼日召人礼拜的时候，你们应当赶快去记念真主，放下买卖，那对於你们是更好的，如果你们知道。

10. 当礼拜完毕的时候，你们当散布在地方上，寻求真主的恩惠，你们应当多多地记念真主，以便你们成功。

11. 当他们看见生意或游戏的时候，他们离散了，他们让你独自站著。你说：“在真主那里的，比游戏和生意还好，真主是最善的供给者。”

白话大意：叶公非常喜爱龙，也至于他写的、画的、雕刻的都是龙。真龙（real dragon）听说后被他的行为所感动，就来到了他的面前会会他。可他被吓到失魂落魄，脸色都变了，掉头就跑。龙（dragon）感到很失望！
所以，不是叶公不喜爱龙，他真正喜爱的是类似龙而不是龙的龙，也就是他想象中的龙。

如果用信仰或者上帝分别替换龙字，就有如下的句子：
不是人们不拥有信仰，拥有的是心目中想象的信仰而非真正信仰。
或者：不是人们不崇拜上帝，崇拜的是心目中想象的上帝而非真正的上帝。
用它形容以上两者都适用。也适用于形容那些自称有信仰而他们的信仰实际上作废的人。

3. And others from them, who have not yet joined them. He is the Glorious, the Wise[And excusing and teaching other buddies outside of them, who have not joined already them. He is the Loftily Glorious, and the Exceptionally informed].
4. That is God’s grace, which He grants to whomever He wills. God is Possessor of limitless grace[That is God’s dignity and majesty, which He confers to whomever God wills becomingly. As a matter of fact God is typical owner of unfathomable or infinite grace and also discernment].
5. The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah, but then failed to uphold it, is like the donkey carrying works of literature. Miserable is the example of the people who denounce God’s revelations. God does not guide the wrongdoing people[Furthermore an example of those guys who were endowed with the Torah, next still failed to defend and promote it justly, is certainly the same as the of age and exhaustingly arduous donkey bringing kind of literary fiction. Another reason, miserable and suffering is certainly the example of the specific human beings who denounce God’s everlasting and momentous revelations. 6. Say, “O you who follow Judaism; if you claim to be the chosen of God, to the exclusion of the rest of mankind, then wish for death if you are sincere.”[Say, “O you who go along behind Judaism; presuming you excitedly claim to be the singly appointed of God, with the exclusion of the remaining part of human beings, next off wish meant for just shameful demise excepting that you are kind of genuine and determined.”]*
7. But they will not wish for it, ever, due to what their hands have advanced. God knows well the wrongdoers[Quite the reverse many a time and oft they will not wish for it, on the grounds of whatever their backings have already ended in. God neatly remembers the kind of wrongdoers and offenders].
8. Say, “The death from which you flee will catch up with you; then you will be returned to the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will inform you of what you used to do.”[Say, “The death beginning out of which you extricate yourself shall get nearer you; and just at that time you shall be revisited to the Knower of the intangible and the manifest, and God will explain the circumstances to you of what you used to put through of old.”]
9. O you who believe! When the call is made for prayer on Congregation Day, hasten to the remembrance of God, and drop all business. That is better for you, if you only knew[ O you who believe unthinkingly! At the time the resounding call is begot for another prayer on Congregation Day, instantly scamper to the remembrance of God, and stop briefly every single business. That is more extraordinary for you, only if you got hold of].
10. Then, when the prayer is concluded, disperse through the land, and seek God’s bounty, and remember God much, so that you may prosper[Thereupon, just at the same time as the prayer is out of the way, get about the land, and rummage around for God’s bounty, and remember God exceedingly, as a means to you may go forward together with be outstanding].
11. [As time goes on should they get wind of any business, together with any entertainment, they scramble in the vicinity of it, and grant you standing around. Say often, “Anything that is with God is rather more extraordinary compared to any kind of joy, amusement as well as business; and God is the Best of grantors and providers.”]Yet whenever they come across some business, or some entertainment, they scramble towards it, and leave you standing. Say, “What is with God is better than entertainment and business; and God is the Best of providers.”
