91 The Sun (ash-shams)

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.

1. By the sun and its radiance.

2. And the moon as it follows it.

3. And the day as it reveals it.

4. And the night as it conceals it.

5. And the sky and He who built it.

6. And the earth and He who spread it.

7. And the soul and He who proportioned it.

8. And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness.

9. Successful is he who purifies it.

10. Failing is he who corrupts it.

11. Thamood denied in its pride.

12. When it followed its most wicked.

13. The messenger of God said to them, “This is the she-camel of God, so let her drink.”

14. But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it.

15. And He does not fear its sequel.

第九一章 太阳 (晒姆斯)

这章是麦加的，全章共计十五节。

奉至仁至慈的真主之名

1. 以太阳及其光辉发誓，

2. 以追随太阳时的月亮发誓，

3. 以揭示太阳时的白昼发誓，

4. 以笼罩太阳时的黑夜发誓，

5. 以苍穹及其建筑者发誓，

6. 以大地及其铺展者发誓，

7. 以灵魂及使它均衡，

8. 并启示他善恶者发誓，

9. 凡培养自己的性灵者，必定成功；

10. 凡戕害自己的性灵者，必定失败。

11. 赛莫德人已因过分而否认真理。

12. 当时，他们中最薄命者忙上前来，

13. 使者就对他们说：“你们让真主的母驼自由饮水吧。”

14. 但他们否认使者而宰杀母驼，故他们的主因他们的罪过而毁灭他们，使他们普遍受难。

15. 他是不顾虑那灾难的後果的。

(In other words)
In the significantly prestigious name of God, the Permissive, the Gracious.
1. Then to covenant by dint of the sun and its glow.

In the second to none name of God, the Gracious, the Understanding.
1. Furthermore warrant and promise under oath by dint of the disinterested sun and its awesomeness and lots of glow.
2. And self-assuredly to bear witness with acknowledge in the light of the reddish moon when it tags along behind the sun.
  
In the everlasting name of God, the Permissive, the absolutely Gracious.

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful[In the majestic name of Most Extraordinary, Most Benignant God].

1. By the sun and its radiance[Furthermore to warrant and promise under oath by dint of the beginning sun and its awesomeness and glow].
2. [And loftily to further warrant and promise under oath in the light of the cold moon exactly when it tags along behind the sun.]And the moon as it follows it.
3. And the day as it reveals it[Furthermore to warrant and promise under oath officially on the strength of the day just at the same time as it explains all of it].
4. And the night as it conceals it[And to warrant and promise under oath by dint of the night the for the period that it stays out of sight it].
5. [And to warrant and promise under oath by dint of the bright sky and He (namely, God) who exclusively made all of it.]And the sky and He who built it.

6. And the earth and He who spread it[Furthermore to warrant and promise under oath by dint of the globe and He (namely, God) who adjusted often and improved steadily it].

7. And the soul and He who proportioned it[Furthermore to loftily warrant and promise under oath on the strength of the soul and He (namely, God) who coexisted it as often as not].*

8. And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness[Furthermore to warrant and promise under oath by dint of brought round it accompanied by its ungodliness and also its fidelity].
9. [Winning is he who distills it rather befittingly and timelily.]Successful is he who purifies it.

10. Failing is he who corrupts it[Commonly failing is he who leads astray it].

11. Thamood denied in its pride[And, Thamood people took exception to after only its ego, pride and joy].
12. [At the same time as it kept an eye on its maximal evil, horrifying godless.]When it followed its most wicked.

13. The messenger of God said to them, “This is the she-camel of God, so let her drink.”[The unobjectionable messenger of God nicely affirmed to them, saying “This is the maiden-camel of God, because of this give her blessing to her drink.”]

14. But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it[When all is said and done they named exactly him a kind of maligner or perjurer, and manifestly hampered her. because of this their Lord exterminated them for their offence and lawbreaking, and leveled or destroyed it then].
15. [And He does not fear its huge impact or side effect.]And He does not fear its sequel.

1. To warrant and promise under oath on account of the sun and its awesomeness and pervasive glow.

*人去世了，灵被天使收集了，并重新分配，有的去了天堂，有的下了地狱。古兰经说，有的人死后不配再回到地球，并且多次提到了地狱里的火狱是给那些作恶之人预备的。
