18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

18 There and then, the one of them, by the name of Cleopas, answering aloud said unto him, Art thou precisely an unwelcome visitor in Jerusalem, besides hast not had knowledge of the things which have being occurred there in these days?

19 And he said unto them, What exactly things are come to pass? And they said unto this human being, On the topic of Jesus of Nazareth, which was an authentic prophet mighty in statement and deed in front of God and all the people:

20 And how the big-ranking priests and shameful rulers of ours delivered Jesus to be exceptionally framed to death, furthermore have taken the life of Jesus.

21 In spite of that we commonly assumed that of course it had been Jesus which should have just saved from danger Israel: and beside all this, to day in truth is the third day since these things were carried out.
