7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

馬 可 福 音 15 （其二）

7 有 一 個 人 名 叫 巴 拉 巴 ， 和 作 亂 的 人 一 同 捆 綁 。 他 們 作 亂 的 時 候 ， 曾 殺 過 人 。

8 眾 人 上 去 求 巡 撫 ， 照 常 例 給 他 們 辦 。

9 彼 拉 多 說 ： 你 們 要 我 釋 放 猶 太 人 的 王 給 你 們 麼 ？

10 他 原 曉 得 ， 祭 司 長 是 因 為 嫉 妒 才 把 耶 穌 解 了 來 。

11 只 是 祭 司 長 挑 唆 眾 人 ， 寧 可 釋 放 巴 拉 巴 給 他 們 。

King James Version

7 And there was a human being named Barabbas, which erect bound fixedly with that who just had made insurrection with him, who at the time had committed inhuman murder in the middle of the uprising of the downtown.

8 In situations like this, an excessive amounts of human beings crying aloud began desiring him to do exactly like he had done at any time unto all of them.

9 And Pilate mentioned to them, saying, Do ye just want me release unto you the King of the Jews?

10 Knowing surely it was out of excessive jealousy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him.

11 Whereas the chief priests encouraged those men and women, that he should rather release Barabbas having said that.
