10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

馬太福音 14  (之三)


10於 是 打 發 人 去 ， 在 監 裡 斬 了 約 翰 ， 11把 頭 放 在 盤 子 裡 ， 拿 來 給 了 女 子 ； 女 子 拿 去 給 他 母 親 。 12約 翰 的 門 徒 來 ， 把 屍 首 領 去 埋 葬 了 ， 就 去 告 訴 耶 穌 。

13耶 穌 聽 見 了 ， 就 上 船 從 那 裡 獨 自 退 到 野 地 裡 去 。 眾 人 聽 見 ， 就 從 各 城 裡 步 行 跟 隨 他 。

10 And he really sent, and beheaded straight John amid the prison.

11 And next his slashed bloody head was brought in a serving dish, subsequently given to the ignorant damsel: straight off she brought it toward her nightmare mother.

12 And next off his adherents came, took off the JAGGED body, joined fragmented rest head of John, beside sustained the jagged body and buried it expeditiously, and came and told fully Jesus.

13 And at the time Jesus heard of it, he went at a later time utilising ship into a desert whereabouts far off: together with instantly as the human beings had heard thereof, they eagerly followed him on foot arising out of  the cities.
