Buddha Pronounces the Sutra of Maitreya Bodhisattva's Attainment of Buddhahood
Translated from Sanskrit into Chinese in the Yao Chin Dynasty

Part Twenty Seven

“At that time King Śaṅkha, accompanied by the ministers and people of his kingdom, will take that platform made of the seven treasures, together with 1,000 jeweled curtains, 1,000 jeweled carriages, 1,000 koṭi jeweled bells, 1,000 jeweled vessels, and 1,000 jeweled urns, and offer them all to Maitreya Bodhisattva. After accepting them, Maitreya Bodhisattva will give them to the Brahmins. The Brahmins, after accepting them, will break them into pieces and share them. The Brahmins will be surprised to see Maitreya Bodhisattva give such enormous alms. They will then break them into pieces and share them.

At the rear of accepting them, Maitreya Bodhisattva will just grant them to the serious Brahmins. Along with this the Brahmins shall measurably be taken off guard to see Maitreya Bodhisattva come across with that hulking alms.
