Buddha Pronounces the Sutra of Maitreya Bodhisattva's Attainment of Buddhahood
Translated from Sanskrit into Chinese in the Yao Chin Dynasty
by The Tripitaka Master Kumarajiva from Kucha

Part Thirty One

Long thinking of the suffering of sentient beings
And wanting to rescue them, I was unable to do so.
Today I have attained bodhi.
Suddenly, obstructions are no more.

I have verified the emptiness of sentient beings
And the true reality of their original nature.
My sorrow and suffering nevermore,
My lovingkindness and compassion are unconditional.

Part Thirty One

Long thinking of the misfortunes and miseries of sentient beings
And yenning for liberating them, except I was unable to do so.
The present time as soon as this I have had bodhi.
In a jiff, trammels are out of the way.

I have exhibited also substantiated the emptiness (this means, nothingness) of sentient beings
And the true fundamental point of their very original being.
My excruciations and torments also with apprehension and sorrowfulness nevermore,
My justness and mateyness with largeheartedness are explicit alongside unconditional.
