At around 3am, while everyone under the roof is fast asleep, yea, Lexie too, snoring on my bed as usual, but no, all of a sudden, she jumped off my bed, rolling down the stairs, (when she is in an emergency, I really can’t tell if she is running down the stairs or rolling down the stairs), dashed through the living room and jumped across the sofa to the window sill, then the whole neighborhood heard her barks. It is not the regular kind of dog barking, like “woof, woof”, no, it is Lexie’s kind. Stood firmly, her neck straight, her head as high as she can stretch, she raised her chin all the way up so her mouth, her neck and her chest is in a perfect straight line, then she barks, “wooooooooooooooooof”, the roaring comes straight from the bottom of her chest. Annoyed as I was, I lay still hoping that she would stop after one long woooof, but of course she wouldn’t. She thought she was protecting the household! The roaring continued. Kelly was yelling, “Lexieeeee, stop!!!” I got up, you know how hard that was, 3am, from my comfortable bed, I stamped downstairs, grabbed her from the window sill and stormed back to my bedroom. From the corner of my eyes, I saw couple of deer in my front yard. Errrrrrr…!

Mommy, I'm always watching...

Ah, there's some movement...

Go, move along!

Stay away from my mom!

Yea, mommy, for safety's sake, I'll walk in the front!
